- This is the home skillsetbalance register help file Page.
This form is designed to register Skillset Balance for Contractors and Support Agents.
The main purpose of this form is to collect information about a persons skillset, so that they can use that as a measurement to find other people with similar or greater skills. You can also find people with less skills to help and mentor them. Everyone needs to find the right people to work with.
This form may be filled out by Customers, Contractors and Support Agents
If you're not a Contractor or Support Agent, you'll see a warning that is highlighted:
"You need to be registered as a Contractor or Support Agent before updating the form. "
1: What kind of Mobile Device Are You Going to Work With?
check options: Laptop, Computer, iPhone, Tablet, Android, Google, Other Type (With Internet Access)
The kind of mobile device that you're using doesn't matter, but we need to know the different types, in case someone asks for a specific support agent for a specific device they have. If you specialize in any specific device, then you can enter that in the 'Add additional information for question 1".
2: How Many Hours During the Day Can You Work Using Your Mobile Device?
check options: Different Times of the Day, 1 Hour Out of the Day, 4 Hours Out of the Day, 8 Hours Out of the Day, 16 Hours Out of the Day, 24 Hours Each Day
Some people are not able to use mobile devices all day long, because of the screen size. Other people place themselves on restrictions because of Social Media. In this case, it involves work, so we need to know how many hours a day you can actually work with a mobile device.
3: Do You Have a Desktop Computer That You Can Use?

Sounds like an odd question, but some people do everything on their Smartphones, or tablets, and don't own a computer. So we have to ask the question, so that we know for sure. Also some parts of the website will NOT work with a Smartphone, and requires a 'desktop or laptop computer'.
4: Are You Able to Travel to Another Location to Work With Your Mobile Device?

There are people that live in Metropolitan areas where they use Public Transportation. So, there are some people that do not own a vehicle. We just want to know, for scheduling purposes, in case someone requests an 'in person meeting'. This happens sometimes with Projects that require a down payment, where they want to MEET the person that is receiving the money.
5: If You Can Travel, How Far Can You Go?

Another question that lets us know if you have any restrictions on travel, or if there are specific conditions under which you will travel further or not. It's all part of knowing what you like or do not like, and we can adjust if you decide you don't want to go on a long drive.
6: What Kind of Activities Have You Performed on the Internet?

We need to know what you've done, or have not done yet. It goes to 'experience', and we need to know what type of work you've actually done, and are comfortable with. Otherwise we won't know how to assign you. Add additional skills, if you need us to know.
7: Which Business Applications Have You Worked With?

You don't have to be an Office Professional to work with technical problems. But we do need to know which programs you're familiar with so that we can notify you when someone makes a request, and has a program that you can help them with. Just list what you're familiar with.
8: Are You Available to work with others?

Some people enjoy working on projects with other people. But there are others that prefer to work alone, and that's just how they are. We just want to understand, and not force you into a position that you're not comfortable with. Just let us know what you prefer.
9: Do You Have An Online Account to Receive Payments?

We need to know how you prefer to be paid. We have an online system that you can register for, to have 'direct deposit'. Some people have a specific preference, or bank they like to use. Just let us know. We'll have to remind you when you begin working in any case, and we can discuss it then.
10: Are You Ready To Work Online Now?

Some people are ready before anyone else is. Others need time to prepare. No one is rushing you. We just need to know which stage you're at, so that we'll know. Ultimately, you're the one that decides when you begin, so we'll just wait.
